Photograph of Edna Collins Covered Bridge in Putnam County, Indiana. The bridge was built in 1922 by Charles Hendrix to replace a concrete bridge that had been washed out. It crosses the Little Walnut Creek, and was the last covered bridge to be built in Indiana with public funds. According to local legend, the bridge is haunted by a young girl who drowned in the creek. |
