Photograph of Sanatorium Covered Bridge in Parke County, Indiana. The bridge was built in 1912 by Joseph A. Britton and crosses the Little Raccoon Creek. Also known as State Sanitorium Covered Bridge, this is the only covered bridge in Indiana with lightening rods. In 2006 future plans for the bridge include relocation to the site previously occupied by the Adam and Jessup Covered Bridges. |
