Description |
Paula Prose's transcribed account of the legend of Stiffy Green as collected by Jim Peo. According to the legend, Stiffy Green was a dog who belonged to an elderly man. When the man died, Stiffy was stuffed and placed in his mausoleum. The legend states that the ghost of Stiffy Green still guards the man's mausoleum to this day. The mausoleum is located in Highland Lawn Cemetery in Vigo County, Indiana. |
