Description |
Dave Arvin's transcribed variant of the Vanishing Hitchhiker urban legend as collected by Bart Spencer. In this account, a young man picks up a female hitchhiker and offers her his coat to keep warm. After dropping her off at home, he realizes he forgot to get his jacket back, so he returns to the house to retrieve. The woman who answers explains that his daughter could not have taken his jacket because she has been for five years. When he goes to the cemetery to investigate, he finds his jacket lying across her grave. |
