Description |
Phillip Edward Vaughn's transcribed variant of the Vanishing Hitchhiker urban legend as collected by David R. Vaughn. In this account, the informant describes meeting a young woman on the side of the road who asks to be driven home. He gave her his coat to keep warm and took her home, only to realize later that he never got his coat back. When he returned to the house to retrieve it, a woman answered and explained that her daughter was dead. When the informant went to the girl's grave to investigate, he found his coat hanging from the tombstone. |
