Amy Meadlo's transcribed interview of Cecil Vaughn about John Wayne Gacy's art production line. According to Vaughn, Gacy would have other prisoners fill in spaces on paint-by-munber pictures. Gacy only signed his name to the pictures and then sold them for a profit. |

Some prisons hold inmate art shows and allow the public to purchase artwork done by inmates. John Wayne Gacy was a serial killer who killed thirty-three young men and boys between 1972 and 1978. Gacy was incarcerated at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois, and was sentenced to the death penalty. Gacy was excecuted on May 9, 1994. Gacy's art is very popular. |
