Description |
C. Surrena's transcribed interview of Jack Flemming about the Green Man in Pennsylvania. According to Flemming, someone from Hollywood offered the Green Man one million dollars to do monster movies. The Green Man turned them down saying that God meant him to look like that and he wasn't going to charge people to look at him. This decision was apparently a sore subject for his family. |

Contextual Information |
The Green Man is actually Raymond Robinson. He was injured by an electrical line on the Morado Bridge outside of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, as a child while trying to see a bird's nest. This same electrical line killed a child less than a year prior to Robinson's accident. Due to the shock, Robinson was very badly scarred and lost his eyes, nose, one ear, and one arm. He was not green at all. According to those who knew him, Robinson was a kind man who took nightly walks and never had a bad word for anyone. Robinson lived with his family until he eventually retired to the Beaver County Geriatric Center, where he died in 1985. |
