Sara Russell's transcribed interview of Jim Thompson about moonshiners in Shelburn, Indiana. According to Thompson, there was an area known as Camp Thirsty where people went to drink during prohibition. One election a judge and a church were running on the same ticket and said they would shut down all bootlegging in the area. After they won the election, they went and bought everyone drinks at Camp Thirsty. |
