Deborah Jane Magill's transcribed interview of Marth Ann Werner's account of The Wolf Woman in Jefferson County, Indiana. According to Werner, there was an old woman who lived as a hermit after the death of her husband. She took care of the wildlife and raised a pack of wolves. One night some farmers heard a pack of wolves howling, so they decided to go see what was wrong. They discovered that the woman had died. She had fallen out of her rocking chair shortly before the men found her. |
