Abstract |
Letter to Eugene V. Debs, 11/7/1920. Says that as a member of the Washington D. C. local of the Socialist Party and an ex-soldier, he would like to get Eugene V. Debs's views on the question of bonuses for the veterans of World War I. Tells Eugene V. Debs that he has been opposed to every proposed on this matter so far. Writes that the veterans are being used as "tools to work on the sympathies of the public at large." Expresses the hope that William Randolph Hearst will not be successful in pulling the wool over the eyes of the American people. |
