Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs on City of Reading, Pennsylvania Department of Accounts and Finance letterhead, 6/23/1928. Tells TheodoreDebs that although he said not to respond to his letter that he felt it necessary to write back. Writes that a Bureau of Municipal Research may be created some time in the future. Mentions that it will not be until the two new departments--a purchasing agency and a municipal machine shop--have been whipped into shape. Informs Theodore Debs that he has known the Mr. Gale that he refers to in his letter for a long time. Mentions that he is not surprised by what Theodore Debs says about him. States that his program will have to be approved by the local branch of the Socialist Party.
