Letter from Marguerite Debs Cooper, 09/28/1947. Tells Lee that she wrote to Bertha Mailley on 08/23/1947 asking if the Board of Directors of the Rand School of Social Science would be interested in having Eugene V. Debs’ papers. Mentions that she never received a response to her letter. Writes that Theodore Debs often said that he wanted Eugene V. Debs’ papers to be placed with the ones already placed in the Rand School's library. Informs Lee that she will not send Eugene V. Debs’ papers to the Rand School until she receives word from the Board of Directors. Mentions that Eugene V. Debs’ papers are already crated for shipping. Asks that Lee contact her at his earliest convenience. Says that if she does not hear from him she will send Eugene V. Debs’ materials to another university. |
