Letter from Theodore Debs, 10/04/1944. Tells Lee that he is preparing for a visit with Irving Stone. Mentions that he is about 10 years older than Lee. Writes that he has lived a long time and has taken the bitter with the sweet. Says that he will not be a "piker and cuss at so fair and square a deal" even though his health is now broken because he has lived a good life. |
