Letter to Eugene V. Debs, signed by Larkin, Rose Pastor Stokes, John Reed, and Maximilian Cohen, 2/28/1919. Writes that the Manifesto and Program of the Left Wing Section of the Greater New York City, New York Local of the Socialist Party has been forwarded to Eugene V. Debs. Asks that Eugene V. Debs write an introduction for the Manifesto before it is published into a pamphlet. Tells Eugene V. Debs that the Left Wing Section of the Socialist Party is fighting an uphill battle against its opponents in the party who call its members "disrupters and scessionists." Mentions that the Manifesto has been adopted by Socialist Party locals in Boston, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Essex County, New Jersey. Also mentions that it has been adopted by Joseph Coldwell, the State Secretary for Rhode Island. |
