Abstract |
Letter from Eugene V. Debs, 1/30/18. Writes that he has looked over Korngold's proposal for a cooperative colony and supports his project wholeheartedly. Says that he has always regretted the fact that a cooperative movement has never been successful in America. Expresses the hope that Korngold's plan is able to succeed where others have failed. Mentions that if he can be of service to Korngold just to let him know. Tells Korngold that he would be allowed to use his name as requested as long as "the men who are in charge of the enterprise are of unquestioned integrity of character." Informs Korngold that he does not trust John Walker who is a "trimmer and a traitor." |
