Socialists

Magazine
,
which
originally
started
in
1911
,
began
as a
publication
of the
New
Yorker
Volkszeitung
, an
independent
New
York
socialist
group
, and
eventually
became
the
official
organ
of the
Young
People's
Socialist
League
movement
. The
Young
Peoples
'
Socialist
League
was a
socialist
movement
for
young
people
which
started
in
1907
and was
affiliated
with the
Socialist
Party
of the
United
States
of
America
.
Bill
Kruse
was its
Secretary
until
1921
,
when
he
left
the
Socialist
party
to
become
part
of the
Communist
movement
.
