with the

Party

United
States
of
America
.
Edited

Abraham
Cahan

it
launched
in
1897
and
reached
its
peak
circulation
in the
1930's
of
275,000
.
It
became
known
as the
voice
of the
Jewish
immigrant
and the
conscience
of the
ghetto
.
Well
known
Jewish
authors
such
as
Isaac
Bashevis
Singer
regularly
contributed
to the
paper
,
which
still
exists
today
and
is
available
in an
online
format
.
