Abstract |
Letter to Eugene V. Debs, 12/22/1913. States that he has been writing for the BRIDGEMAN MAGAZINE on labor and literature. Remarks that he has written articles on Walt Whitman, John Ruskin, Horace Traubel, Helen Keller, Nicholas Vachel Lindsay, Oscar Wilde, and James Whitcomb Riley. Mentions that he is starting another series on prominent labor leaders and, as such, says that he would like Eugene V. Debs to send him some literature that would be helpful. Says that he is friends with Nicholas Vachel Lindsay. Remarks that he would like Eugene V. Debs to get to know him. Mentions that Nicholas Vachel Lindsay wrote the poem about John P. Altgeld titled "Eagle Forgotten." |
