Writes that the speakers committee of the Terre Haute, Indiana branch of the Socialist Party wrote the NATIONAL RIP-SAW to arrange a date to have Eugene V. Debs speak on a flat rate. Says that the Terre Haute, Indiana branch wants to use the money from the meeting to help pay off the branch's new offices. Tells Eugene V. Debs that Frank O'Hare recommended that the speakers committee stage something big. Says that Frank O'Hare feels that Eugene V. Debs would be willing to speak on a flat rate. Remarks that the speakers committee would like Eugene V. Debs to speak the last week of August or the first week of September.
