Abstract |
Copy of letter from Eugene V. Debs, 02/01/1918. Says that as of 02/01/1918 several of his editorials still have not been published, including: "Let Us Fight Out Own Battles" "Reactionary Unionism" "The Lying Capitalist Press" "The New Freedom" "Strangling Democracy" "Plutocrats, Patriotism and Prices" "Root and the Russian Revolution" "The Protest" "The Crime Against the Mooneys" "The Boston Outrage" "The Press Censorship" "Arrest of Socialist Speakers" "The Go Scot Free" "The Wall Street 'Alliance" "President Wilson on Censorship" "Law and Order 'Smashers" "Good and Bad Socialists" "Gompers and His Social Friends" "Plutes, Pimps and Prostitutes" "Socialism is Spreading" "Winning for Social Revolution" and "Sowing the Seed of Socialism." Remarks that Wagner should also have copies his articles "Where We Stand and Why" and "Kate O'Hare and Her Sentence." Asks that Wagner try to locate each of these pieces because he wants to know how many of them are unlocatable so that he can ask the Postmaster General about them. |
