Abstract |
Letter to Theodore Debs, 10/20/1927. Writes that she appreciates the book that Theodore Debs sent with the "beautiful" inscription. Says that she was touched by the photo in the book of Eugene V. Debs leaving the Federal Penitentiary in Atlanta, Georgia. Remarks that Mahatma Gandhi is appreciated in much the same way as Eugene V. Debs. Tells Theodore Debs that she felt privileged to live at a time when she could have contact with both Eugene V. Debs and Mahatma Gandhi. Says that she has tried to follow the path of divinity for the past 15 years. |
