Says that he is sorry to hear that Eugene V. Debs' house was sold. Tells Cooper that he received a clipping from the PITTSBURGH PRESS today saying that ADVERSARY IN THE HOUSE was one of the best novels of 1947. Asks that Cooper not be hurt by August Claessens' review.
