Abstract |
Letter to Eugene V. Debs, 09/06/1920. Writes that he is sending Eugene V. Debs a booklet that has just come out. Says that the purpose of this booklet is to win converts to socialism. Remarks that he met Eugene V. Debs in 1912 in Covington, Kentucky. Tells Eugene V. Debs that when he was a candidate for Lieutenant Governor last year he was mobbed by a group of Legionnaires. Says that he made several noon hour talks last week to different shops in the area. Mentions that 5,000 booklets have already been distributed. Remarks that Kate Richard O'Hare held a meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio on 08/29/1920. Says that it should not be too long before the political prisoners are released from prison. |
