Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs, 10/6/1938. Says that he thanks Theodore Debs for the $1,479.89 check. Tells Theodore Debs that he must be relieved that there are no more transactions to be completed in the management of Jean Daniel Debs' estate. Expresses the hope that Marguerite Debs Cooper will make a profit off of Theodore Debs's investments. Remarks that he knows what Theodore Debs has been through because of his own work to settle an estate. Writes that if he had stayed in Terre Haute, Indiana and made a good income he would have turned 1102 Wabash Avenue into a shrine. Mentions that while Indiana will always have a special place in his heart that he is now a New Yorker. Tells Theodore Debs that he regrets not having the chance to get together with him more often.
