Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs, 11/27/1913. Says that she would like to thank Theodore Debs for the kind letters since that her sent her after her bad experience in Littleton, Colorado with her son-in-law. Writes that she does not remember if she told Theodore Debs that she was arrested by her son-in-law for disturbing the peace after she went up to him to ask if he had hired a nurse to take care of her daughter and her new-born grand-daughter. Mentions that she was found guilty of disturbing the peace and fined $5. Tells Theodore Debs that a week later her daughter was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado to have an emergency operation. Writes that his son-in-law has terrorized his daughter by behaving like a "maniac or a demon." Says that she is not a welcome visitor in his home. Mentions that she would like to kill her son-in-law but that she does not know how it would affect her daughter. Assures Theodore Debs that Eugene V. Debs's visit uplifted her spirit wonderfully. Tells Theodore Debs that Eugene V. Debs is an inspiration to her. Mentions that her heart goes out to the striking miners in Denver, Colorado. Tells Theodore Debs that the situation is probably much worse in West Virginia. Writes that she sees Eugene V. Debs and Myron Reed as the modern teachers of religion. Informs Theodore Debs that while patriotism is now seen as a virtue that one day it will be equated with bigotry.
