Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs, 12/22/1919. Writes that between his own activities and what is going on around him to keep the world safe for democracy that he hardly has time to sleep. Says that his immediate concern is what is going to happen to Eugene V. Debs. Tells Theodore Debs that the holidays will only make the injustices heaped upon Eugene V. Debs and the "apostles of love" all the more obvious. Writes that he thinks that there are many more stars shining brightly in the East than there are in the West. Mentions that the story of persecution repeats itself like the circuit of the solar system. Assures Theodore Debs that Eugene V. Debs is one of the "fortunates" despite his present situation.
