Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs, 1/25/1936. Says that a letter from Theodore Debs always brings back many memories for him of Eugene V. Debs. Tells Theodore Debs that the movement misses him and Morris Hillquit immensely. Writes that Jim Oneal visited him for a few days and told him of Theodore Debs's health problems. Informs Theodore Debs that his health is also failing after 70 years. Says that when he thinks of the 40 years of his life he spent building up the Socialist Party with Theodore Debs, Eugene V. Debs, Victor Berger, Morris Hillquit, and many other dear comrades, it makes his "blood boil" to see what has happened to the movement since World War I. Writes that preachers like Norman Thomas are doing their utmost to ruin the Socialist Party. Tells Theodore Debs that if these "Bible pounders" end up in heaven when they die then that would be worse than hell for him.
