Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs, 11/11/26. Tells Thedore Debs that he wrote down some of his thoughts about Eugene V. Debs and thought he would share them with Theodore Debs. Says that he first became aware of Eugene V. Debs when he visited Woodstock, Illinois and talked with a man who had been the assistant sheriff when Eugene V. Debs was a prisoner there in the county jail in 1895. Writes that he first met Eugene V. Debs in Terre Haute, Indiana when he was a not-so-distant neighbor of his. Mentions that as the secretary of Terre Haute, Indiana's local speakers' bureau he often took visitors past Eugene V. Debs' home. Tells Theodore Debs that he last saw Eugene V. Debs when he visited Eugene V. Debs' office on Main Street. Mentions that below Eugene V. Debs' office was a Ku Klux Klan printer. Writes that he would not be surprised if that in the future Eugene V. Debs' life story took on a mythical quality.
