Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs on APPEAL TO REASON letterhead, 04/21/1912. Says that he had a bad case of the lumbago around Eater and was laid up for about two weeks. Tells Theodore Debs that he resigned from the APPEAL TO REASON but Fred Warren would not accept his resignation. Mentions that an osteopath is making him well again.

Notes	Appeal to Reason was a weekly socialist newspaper that was founded in Kansas City, Missouri in 1895 by Julius Augustus Wayland. While not officially connected with the Socialist Party of the United States of America, it spread socialist ideas and was very popular among the workers. Eugene V. Debs was a regular contributor to this publication. The Appeal to Reason ceased publication in November 1922, and was replaced by its new owners, Emanuel and Marcet Haldeman-Julius, with the Haldeman-Julius Weekly.
