Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs, 11/09/1900. Discusses the success of his meetings in Toledo, Ohio and Evansville, Indiana, and Linton, Indiana. Says that the audience at the Terre Haute, Indiana meeting was "large and appreciative." Mentions that Stephen Marion Reynolds presided over the meeting there. Tells Theodore that this closed the campaign and the results were that "we got everything except votes" but that he is "serene." Says that he did the best he could for the party that nominated him and that the "working class will get in full... what they voted for." Asks that Theodore let Seymour Stedman know that he will not make it to the conference, but that he will attend the convention. Writes that the Socialist Democratic Party should have nothing to do with other factions. Writes that he will "stick to the party through the gates of hell, till it stands on rock that defies the thunderbolt of Jove." Tells Theodore that only about 325 voted for him in Vigo County, Indiana.
