Abstract	Letter to Theodore Debs, 10/21/1944. Says that the Socialist Party honored Eugene V. Debs last night on the 18th anniversary since his death. Writes that he cannot believe that it has been almost a quarter of a century since he first met Eugene V. Debs. Remarks that he was glad to see many young faces at last night's event. Says that Angelica Balabanoff was the speaker for the evening. Mentions that he spoke, too. Assures Theodore Debs that Eugene V. Debs's stature will grow over time. Mentions that he received an autographed copy of CLARENCE DARROW FOR THE DEFENSE this morning. Asks that Theodore Debs give him permission to look at his files for a book he is writing about Eugene V. Debs.
