Abstract	Letter to Eugene V. Debs, 03/02/1913. Says that William Haywood's recall is perceived by the capitalist press to be "a victory of capitalism within the Socialist Party." Writes that he wonders if Eugene V. Debs approves of the way the recall was stated. Also writes that he wonders if Montona was right to demand a new ballot. Asks that Eugene V. Debs tell him if he approves of any of William Haywood's practices. Says that he is sure that Eugene V. Debs' own judgment will lead him to do the right thing in the William Haywood matter. Mentions that William Haywood's repudiation of political action was phrased in words similar to Eugene V. Debs' own, "I do not ask the workingman for his vote."
