Abstract	Copy of letter from Theodore Debs, 11/14/1921. Says that he noted with pleasure that Todd was among the throng that heard Eugene V. Debs the night of his release from the prison in Woodstock, Illinois. Writes that knowing that Todd attended this event is enough to make them old friends. Tells Todd that it was a great event except for the fact that the authorities did everything in his power to suppress it. Says that he does not enthuse over the reports saying that Eugene V. Debs will soon be released. Writes that nothing but positive and favorable action will make him feel differently. Informs Todd that the time has passed for the President to act so graciously. Remarks that the "Main Streeters" on Capitol Hill are "not only without vision but without political sagacity."
