Abstract	Letter from Abraham Lillienthal on Forscher and Lillienthal, Attorneys at Law letterhead, 11/29/1919. Says that now that the emergency situation created by the war is over that he would like to know what the chances would be to secure Eugene V. Debs's release on a writ of habeas corpus. Remarks that he is asking Stedman this question because he represented Eugene V. Debs before the United States Supreme Court. Informs Stedman that Eugene V. Debs should get released because he was convicted under the Espionage Act, a war measure that he thinks becomes unconstitutional in times of peace. Writes that he is encouraged in this matter by the view that Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. and Louis Brandeis have taken in the case Abrams vs. The United States, decided 11/10/1919.
