Abstract	Note to Theodore Debs, 02/23/1936. Tells Theodore Debs that he is sending him a copy of a letter he wrote to his Congressman regarding the US military. Includes a copy of a letter to James P. B. Duffy dated 02/13/1936 saying that he opposes the proposed bill that makes it illegal to speak disparagingly of the US army and navy. Writes that, like Eugene V. Debs, he would rather go to prison rather than not speak his mind. Informs Duffy that he hates war and that he feels that it is his right to express his opinions no matter what big business says. Remarks that if he was a younger man that he would be out on the street corner telling the "red-baiters" where to get off. Expresses the hope that the proposed bill gets "snowed under."
