Most of the Sullivan County Public Library WV3 photo collection has been donated by local families and historians. Some of the photos were copied from the local Sullivan Co. Historical Society files. The collection contains subjects such as transportation, buildings, merchants, street scenes, parades, politics, disasters, etc.

Dr. James B. Maple's Scrapbooks
Dr. Maple was a local doctor and historian who in his spare time researched early Vincennes and Sullivan newspapers for items concerning Sullivan Co. He clipped items and took notes and filled 42 volumes of scrapbooks which have a wonderful collection of early history of Sullivan County.
