The Vigo County, Indiana, Civil War Sesquicentennial Project provides access to the collections of the Vigo County Public Library, the Vigo County Historical Society, and the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Archive that contain images, documents, and artifacts related to Vigo County’s and Indiana’s participation in the American Civil War. Funded through a Library Services Technology Act Digitization Grant (LSTA) the project is based at Indiana State University’s Cunningham Memorial Library where the digitization and metadata creation tasks are performed.    more...
